Venue
The GMIS 2023 Vienna event will take place at the Vienna International Centre, Wagramer Strasse 5, 1220 Vienna, Austria. On the event's opening day, attendees will be issued access badges, which are essential for entry into the venue.
There are plentiful options to reach the venue via public transport, the most straightforward route is to take the U1 subway line, also known as the red line, to the Kaisermühlen-VIC U-Bahn station. This station is conveniently located just a stone's throw away from Gate One, the main entrance to the venue. You will find it marked as “Internationales Zentrum Wien” with a red icon on the map below.
Keep in mind that security checks are mandatory upon arrival. We recommend allocating ample time for this procedure to ensure a smooth entry. Once inside, head to the "C" Building where the opening ceremony will take place.
Registration and Participation

Language
The GMIS 2023 Vienna event will take place exclusively in English. Unfortunately, no provision for simultaneous translation or interpretation is available at this time.
Visas
Depending upon the country of origin, participants may be required to secure a visa or travel permit to enter Austria. All attendees are requested to make their own arrangements for entry visas or travel permits, ensuring that they also have the proper documentation for travelling through other countries en route to Vienna. UNIDO may issue, upon request, a formal invitation to expedite the application process. Neither UNIDO nor the UN have visa-issuing status and are therefore not liable for any legal or political ramifications due to unauthorized travel and entry.
