Before this assignment, Yasunaga was head of theUNIDO Investment and Technology DevelopmentOffice, Tokyo, from 2017-2022, to promote privateinvestment and technology from Japan todeveloping countries. Prior to working for UNIDO,he served as Vice President at Japan’s NationalInstitute of Advanced Industrial Science andTechnology, promoting research collaborationwith the private sector.
